What to do if you have a fixed brace
Your fixed appliance will continue to work during this time although at a reduced rate of efficiency. Take every precaution with hard food stuffs to ensure that your appliances remain intact and performing optimally. Please make sure you take appropriate care with cleaning while we cannot adjust your appliances.
If you have had teeth extracted and were due to get fixed appliances, we should have already contacted you. If not then please get in touch.
If you have finished with your functional appliance and are due to get fixed braces fitted at the next appointment then continue to wear your functional appliance in bed at night
If you have a brace that requires you to wear elastics, continue with the instructions given until the time of your scheduled appointment. If you are wearing the elastics full-time then at this point go to wearing the elastics night-time only. If you are wearing elastics night-time only then continue to do so.
