If you have been referred to us by your dentist for NHS orthodontic treatment, we are looking forward to meeting you. Orthodontic treatment is provided by the NHS to those who most need it and before getting started, we need to look at your teeth to see if they qualify for treatment under the NHS. In many cases, they will, and in which case, we will take some detailed records and advise you what needs doing and when you need to start. For some of our patients this might be with a removable ‘functional’ brace to help align your top and bottom teeth and for others, it will be straight into fixed braces.

Orthodontic treatment takes a commitment from you as well as the team here. We want you to be part of the process and to help us to give you the best possible result. You can do this by turning up for all your appointments, following our advice about keeping your teeth and braces clean, avoiding eating anything too hard, sticky or chewy, cutting down on the number of fizzy drinks, and letting us know if something is worrying you.
