A personal message from Dr Irvine

Firstly, I would like to thank you for your continuing patience whilst you are unable to visit us. We are as keen as you are to progress with your treatment and very much look forward to the day when we can reopen for appointments.

You will be aware that dental practices in England have been given authority to reopen a limited number of services from 8th June. Scotland is working to a slightly different timeframe but much work has been ongoing behind the scenes to consider the best and safest way to reopen.

When you return to the practice, you will find some things have changed. We will need to limit the number of patients in the practice at any one time and you will see our team wearing new protective equipment that may include a mask and visor. This is to help keep everyone safe.

We are likely to adopt a phased approach to opening the practice which means we may carry out some procedures before others. Once we have more information we will update you and reschedule your appointment.

In the meantime, please keep looking after your teeth and brace. Make sure you brush your teeth at least twice a day taking care to brush around the brackets and under the wire. Please also do everything you can to look after your brace or retainer by being careful with what you eat and by following our instructions closely.

Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
